When God formed you, He did not do it randomly. He did not close His eyes and say, “Let’s see what happens.” He designed you with purpose, intention, and love.
Being a man or a woman is not just a matter of biology. It is part of the image of God reflected in you. It is part of your story, your calling, and your dignity.
Today we are living in a generation where many people no longer know who they are. Social media, opinions, trends, and the pressure to fit in have caused thousands of people to grow up confused, insecure, and even rejecting the person they see in the mirror.
And in the middle of all that, God still says something simple, yet powerful:
“I formed you.”
“You were not an accident.”
“I did not make a mistake with you.”
The Bible says:
“A woman shall not wear man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment…” — Deuteronomy 22:5
But this reflection is not only about clothing.
Because there are women who wear pants and are still feminine.
There are men who dress differently because of culture or style.
Clothing changes throughout the years.
The real issue here goes much deeper:
identity.
We are living in times where many people are not only changing their appearance… they are also struggling with rejection toward who they truly are. And the problem is not only external. Many times there are deep emotional wounds, rejection, abandonment, pain, or a desperate need for acceptance.
That is why this subject should never be treated with mockery or hatred.
Because behind many struggles, there are wounded hearts.
And as Christians, we must remember something important:
Jesus never humiliated broken people. He never used truth to crush someone. But He also never stopped speaking the truth out of fear of making people uncomfortable.
God deeply loves every person.
But He also wants us to understand that His design has purpose.
God did not place boundaries because He hates you. He placed them because He loves you. Like when a father tells his child, “Don’t touch that, you’ll get burned.” That is not cruelty. That is care.
When God calls us to live according to how He created us, He is saying:
“Trust Me.”
“I know what I am doing.”
“I know who you are.”
Today the world says:
“Be whatever you want to be.”
“Change yourself to feel happy.”
“Your identity depends on how you feel.”
But God says something deeper:
“I knew you before you were born.”
The world may tell you that being a man or a woman is something you decide. But God says it is part of the design with which He created you, with love and purpose from the beginning.
You do not have to follow every cultural trend to feel accepted. Your identity does not depend on what social media says or on passing trends. Your identity depends on what God wrote about you before you even existed.
And that changes everything.
Because one thing is to have struggles, doubts, or wounds… and something very different is to believe that God made a mistake when He created us.
No.
God does not make mistakes.
Maybe not everyone will understand this reflection.
Maybe some people will get upset.
But there will also be people who needed to hear this today:
You do not have to destroy your identity to feel loved.
God already loves you.
And He can give you peace without you having to stop being who He created you to be from the very beginning.
Let me leave you with this reflection:
The enemy does not always destroy people through violence. Sometimes he destroys them by making them doubt who they are. That is why this generation needs less confusion and more direction from God.
And I want to invite you to join me in this prayer:
Lord, help us understand that our value does not depend on people’s opinions, but on what You say about us. Heal the hearts that are wounded, confused, and tired of struggling internally. Give us love to treat everyone with compassion, but also courage to remain firm in Your truth. Remind us every day that You do not make mistakes and that our true identity is found in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Somos Cristianos, connecting hearts with Christ.
