Sometimes we receive very sincere messages from people who follow SomosCristianos.org on different platforms. Many of them ask us something like this:
“Why don’t you do live streams? We would like to know who is behind Somos Cristianos.”
And honestly… we understand that question. It is natural to want to see the faces behind the people who write, share reflections, and publish content that touches the heart.
But there is something important we would like to explain.
Yes, there are people behind Somos Cristianos. There is a team that prays, studies the Bible, researches, and prepares every publication with care.
However, from the very beginning we made a very clear decision:
We do not want to be the center of this project.
The center, the true protagonist, and the reason for everything we do is Jesus Christ.
Our desire has never been for people to follow us, admire our names, or look for our faces. What we truly want is for people to find Christ, to turn their eyes toward Him, and discover His love, His truth, and His hope.
Unfortunately, today we are living in a time when this has become confused in many places within the Christian world. Not everyone, but many leaders have fallen into something very dangerous: becoming the center themselves.
Some seek fame, popularity, and recognition.
They advertise on radio, television, and the internet.
They appear on billboards.
Their websites show their name in large letters and their image everywhere.
Little by little, the message stops being about Christ… and starts being about the person.
Some even present themselves as if they were extraordinary figures: great prophets, special apostles, or leaders who cannot be questioned.
The problem is not preaching.
The problem is when ego begins to grow.
And when ego grows, something very delicate happens:
Jesus is placed in second place.
The Bible reminds us of something very important:
“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
John 3:30
John the Baptist said these words when people began to follow Jesus more than him. Instead of feeling threatened, he rejoiced.
Because he understood something we must never forget:
The true protagonist of the story is always Christ.
That is why in SomosCristianos.org we have made a simple but firm decision.
We do not want to build this project around a name, a personality, or a famous preacher.
We want everything to point to Jesus.
Perhaps one day we will do live streams. Maybe there will be a moment when we greet the people who read us or answer questions.
But if that day comes, it will only be to share and connect with people, not to seek recognition.
You will never see us trying to build fame.
Because our mission is much simpler and much deeper:
To be a small bridge.
A bridge between people who are searching for hope…
and the only one who can truly give it.
Jesus Christ.
And that is why we continue walking with the same conviction from the beginning.
Somos Cristianos, connecting hearts with Christ.
