Which door do you choose: destruction or salvation?

Stay until the end, because maybe today God wants you to understand why changing has felt so uncomfortable… and why following Jesus sometimes feels so difficult.

Jesus spoke about two doors.

One is wide.
The other is narrow.

And while He said that, He was describing exactly the world we live in today.

The wide door is the one most people follow.
It is the path with no limits.
Where the world tells you:
“Do whatever you want.”
“Enjoy life.”
“It’s not a big deal.”
“Everybody does it.”

And honestly… that path seems easier at first.

It’s easy to give in to anger.
To pride.
To pornography.
To alcohol.
To addictions.
To bad friendships.
To living a double life.
To living far from God while pretending everything is fine.

The problem is that many people realize too late that this path really does destroy.

It destroys marriages.
It destroys peace.
It destroys the mind.
It destroys families.
It slowly destroys the soul.

And the most dangerous part is that the wide door never looks dangerous in the beginning.
That’s why so many people walk through it.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14 that wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But He also said that narrow is the gate and difficult is the road that leads to life… and only a few find it.

Because the narrow door costs something.

It means dying to things you still want to hold onto.
It means fighting against yourself.
It means saying “no” when everyone else says “yes.”
It means seeking God even when nobody around you wants to.

The narrow door is when you decide to forgive even though it hurt.
When you turn off something that you know is contaminating your mind.
When you walk away from friendships that pull you away from God.
When you begin changing habits even when it feels uncomfortable.
When you pray even when you feel empty.
When you keep believing even when you are tired.

That path does not always feel popular.
Sometimes it feels lonely.
Sometimes it feels like everyone else is moving forward except you.

But Jesus never said the narrow path would be easy.
He said it leads to life.

And that is the difference.

The world offers quick pleasure…
but leaves emptiness.

Jesus sometimes asks for sacrifice…
but brings true peace.

Many people want the presence of God without letting go of the things that are destroying them.
But there comes a moment when you realize you cannot walk with Christ while holding onto the same things that pull you away from Him.

And this is not about being perfect.
It is about having the courage to keep walking toward Jesus even when it is hard.

Because every small step matters.

Maybe today you are struggling with something.
Maybe there are habits nobody knows about.
Maybe you are tired of living divided between God and the world.

This reflection is not meant to condemn you.
It is meant to remind you that you are still in time to enter through the right door.

Yes, God’s path is narrower.
But it is also the only one that truly heals.
The only one that cleans the heart.
The only one that leads to eternal life.

And even when it feels like you are walking alone… you are never alone when Jesus walks with you.

Let me leave you with this reflection:
Do not be afraid to walk away from what everyone else is doing if it brings you closer to God. Sometimes the right path will not be the most popular one, but it will be the one that saves your life, your heart, and your soul.

And I want to invite you to join me in this prayer:

Lord, help me to have the courage to follow Your path even when it is difficult. Give me strength to let go of the things that pull me away from You. Clean my heart, my thoughts, and my life. I do not want to get lost on the wide road of this world. I want to walk with You, even when it is hard. Guide me, lift me up, and never let go of my hand. In Jesus’ name, amen.
