It may sound unbelievable, but the Bible tells us about a man who never experienced death.
His name was Enoch. The Bible says that he walked with God in such a close and special way that something unique happened in all of history.
In Genesis 5:24, we read:
“Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.”
The Bible does not say that he became sick, died, or was buried. One day, God simply took him.
Enoch lived in a generation filled with wickedness, yet he chose to live differently. While others were moving away from God, he walked with Him every day.
The New Testament also speaks about Enoch. Hebrews 11:5 says that he was taken away so that he would not experience death because he pleased God.
What is most interesting is that the Bible does not highlight great miracles performed by Enoch, armies he conquered, or wealth he accumulated. Instead, it emphasizes something far more important: his relationship with God.
The story of Enoch reminds us that the most valuable achievement in life is not fame, power, or money, but walking closely with God every day.
Because in the end, what touched God’s heart most was not what Enoch had, but the way he lived.
