It is not written from comfort or distance. It comes from watching evil grow bold, seeing the weak crushed, and witnessing abuse go unchecked. And perhaps the hardest part of all is realizing how easily those who do wrong convince themselves that God does not see, that no one will ever call them to account.

“Why, Lord, do You stand far off? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?”
This question is not a lack of faith. It is wounded faith. It is the voice of someone who continues to speak to God, even when understanding feels out of reach.

There are moments in life when you believe in God, you pray, you try to do what is right… and yet you still see injustice everywhere. People who lie, exploit, and harm others seem to move forward without consequences. And inside, a struggle begins: if God is just, why does injustice appear to win?

This reflection does not avoid that question. It does not soften it. It brings it honestly before God. Because God does not ask for perfect prayers; He listens to honest hearts.

What is described here is something many recognize: when wrongdoing goes unchecked long enough, it begins to feel untouchable. Pride grows. Compassion fades. Violence becomes normal. In the process, evil not only harms others—it deceives itself.

But there is something important not to miss. This prayer is not only personal. It is also compassionate. It speaks on behalf of those who no longer have strength. It gives voice to the oppressed, the ignored, the forgotten. It is a cry that says, “God, someone has to speak for them.”

True faith is not indifferent. It does not normalize abuse or injustice. It does not settle for comforting phrases that silence the conscience. Some wounds cannot be healed with gentle words alone. They require God’s intervention.

That is why this prayer does not stop at complaint. It moves deeper—toward a clear plea. Not resignation, but trust that only God can act where human power ends.

And something shifts. Not because the world suddenly changes, but because the heart remembers who God is. Even when He seems silent, God sees. Even when answers delay, God listens. Even when injustice grows loud, God remains attentive.

There is a truth that holds everything together: God has not lost control. His justice is not rushed, but it is certain. He does not act on impulse; He acts with purpose. And while He works in the world, He also sustains the heart of the one who waits.

That matters. Sometimes God does not change the situation immediately, but He prevents despair from destroying us. He strengthens the weary heart. He holds the broken soul. He does not forget those who suffer.

Maybe today you are asking where God is. Maybe you are tired of seeing injustice, tired of praying, tired of waiting. This message does not promise quick answers—but it reminds you of something essential: God is not absent. He is attentive. He is present. And He remains King, even when we do not understand.

Let me leave you with this reflection:
If today God feels far away, it may not mean you are far from Him. It may mean your faith is moving beyond comfort and becoming real. Speaking to God from pain is still faith.

I invite you to join me in this prayer:

Lord, here I am with what I feel and what I see.
Injustice hurts. Abuse hurts. Silence hurts.
There are moments when I do not understand why things unfold this way.
But today I choose to trust that You see, You listen, and You do not forget.
Strengthen my heart. Do not let me grow hardened or give up.
Rise in my situation, and rise for those who no longer have a voice.
Hold my faith when it grows tired.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Somos Cristianos, connecting hearts with Christ.

We live in a world where injustice, abuse, and pain seem to grow louder every day, and an honest question rises from the heart: where is God in the middle of all this?
