A few months ago, someone sent me a message late at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They weren\u2019t asking for money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They weren\u2019t asking me to solve a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They wrote just one sentence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI can\u2019t do this anymore.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n They had lost important things in their life. They felt exhausted, discouraged, and completely out of strength. The saddest part was that they were considering making a decision that would have changed their life forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So I want to tell you something:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Don\u2019t make that decision today. Not while your heart is broken.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n What\u2019s interesting is that some of the greatest men in the Bible also had days when they wanted to give up completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are moments in life when the pain feels greater than the hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Days when bad news, betrayal, loss, illness, or simply accumulated exhaustion make us feel like we cannot go on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In those moments, emotions can become so overwhelming that they convince us nothing will ever change. They make us believe that the suffering will last forever, that there is no way out, and that our future is already written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yet the Bible shows us a surprising reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some of the most important people God used felt exactly this way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Moses became so overwhelmed by the responsibility of leading the people and enduring their constant complaints that he asked God to take his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Elijah, after one of the greatest spiritual victories of his ministry, fell into deep discouragement and asked to die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Job suffered losses so devastating that he wished he had never been born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jonah became so frustrated that he preferred death rather than accepting God’s will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jeremiah, worn down by rejection and persecution, cursed the day he was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When we look at these stories, we discover something important: even those who walked closely with God experienced moments of weakness. The difference was not that they never felt defeated. The difference was that God never abandoned them in their pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And here we find a lesson that can change our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n None of them could see what God still had prepared for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When Moses wanted to give up, there were still great miracles ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When Elijah thought everything was over, God still had another mission for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When Job believed his story had reached its end, restoration was closer than he imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When Jonah wanted to die because he did not understand what God was doing, he could not see the greater purpose behind it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Emotions are real. God understands them. We should not ignore them or pretend they do not exist. But we must not allow them to become our permanent counselors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An emotion may last for hours, days, or even months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A decision can affect an entire lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So when you find yourself in one of those difficult moments, stop. Pray. Seek wise counsel. Wait. Rest if necessary. Eat well, just as God provided food for Elijah when he was exhausted. Go for a walk, exercise, get some fresh air, and take care of your body, because physical exhaustion often affects our emotions more than we realize. But do not make permanent decisions while your heart is wounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What looks like a dead end today may simply be a stage in the journey God is using to build something greater in your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Keep this thought close to your heart:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Never make a permanent decision based on a temporary emotion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The thing that makes you cry today may become the testimony that helps someone else tomorrow. What feels like defeat today may one day become proof that God was working behind the scenes all along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFor His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.\u201d \u2014 Psalm 30:5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I invite you to join me in this prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lord, help me not to make decisions driven by pain, fear, or discouragement. Give me peace, wisdom, and strength to trust You even when I do not understand what is happening. Remind me that You are still at work in my life.
