There are words in the Bible that deeply shake the heart.
And probably one of the strongest things Jesus ever said was this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!\u201d<\/strong> What is most shocking is that Jesus was not talking about atheists. He was talking about religious people. And that should make us seriously reflect today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because we live in a time where it is very easy to appear spiritual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can post Bible verses every day. Matthew 7 begins by talking about false prophets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus said they would come dressed like sheep, but inwardly they would be ravenous wolves. That is why Jesus said something very important:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou will know them by their fruits.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n He did not say: \u201cBy their words.\u201d He said: Because anyone can pretend for a while. And this is where this teaching touches our daily lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because fruit is not only what we do inside a church. In how we treat our family. That is where the true heart is revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then Jesus said something even stronger:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNot everyone who says to Me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n That means repeating the name of Jesus is not enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because one thing is talking about Christ\u2026 And honestly, we see a lot of that today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People who use the name of God to appear holy while living full of pride, lies, selfishness, immorality, hatred, or lack of love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And be careful\u2026 because this reflection is not only for \u201cother people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is also for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because sometimes we can fall into an outward faith only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We go to church, listen to sermons, share Christian messages\u2026 but little by little we stop truly seeking God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our relationship with Him becomes routine. And that is exactly what Jesus was confronting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What is most impressive is that the people in Matthew 7 were convinced they were right with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They said to Him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDid we not prophesy in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and do many wonders in Your name?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n They were using their religious works as proof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But Jesus answered them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI never knew you.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Not because He did not know who they were. And here is one of the most important truths in this passage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n God is not looking for spiritual actors. Not perfect people\u2026 because nobody is perfect. Because someone can have gifts\u2026 and still live far from God. That is why Jesus said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou will know them by their fruits.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Not by appearance. But by the evidence of a transformed life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And maybe today the most important question is not:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDo I go to church?\u201d The real question is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAm I truly walking with Jesus when nobody sees me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are still on time to sincerely draw near to God. Because Christianity is not only about talking about Jesus. I leave this reflection in your heart\u2026 because nobody wants to hear one day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI never knew you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n I invite you to join me in this prayer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLord, I do not want to live a faith that is only an appearance. Search my heart and show me what I need to change. Help me bear true fruit and walk with You sincerely, even when nobody sees me. Nor about people who had never heard about God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People who spoke about Him.
People who appeared spiritual.
People who even did things \u201cin the name of Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can sing in church.
Preach.
Serve.
Have many followers.
Speak beautifully about God.
And still\u2026 be far from the heart of Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In other words, people who outwardly seem good, spiritual, and close to God\u2026 but whose hearts and way of living reveal something completely different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He did not say: \u201cBy their miracles.\u201d
He did not say: \u201cBy how many followers they have.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy their fruits.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But sooner or later, fruit reveals who we truly are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
True fruit is revealed in how we live when nobody is watching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In how we speak when we are angry.
In how we handle money.
In how we act in secret.
In how we treat people who can give us nothing in return.
In how we live outside social media and outside the church building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and something completely different is surrendering your life to Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Habit.
Appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But because they never had a real relationship with Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is looking for sincere hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But people who are repentant, humble, and willing to truly obey Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They can speak beautifully\u2026 and not truly know Him.
They can impress people\u2026 and still have an empty heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not by fame.
Not by spiritual performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo I post Christian things?\u201d
\u201cDo people think I\u2019m a believer?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are still on time to leave behind a double life.
We are still on time to stop pretending and begin living a genuine faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is about knowing Him\u2026 and allowing Him to transform our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\nWho Were the People Jesus Told: \u201cDepart From Me, You Workers of Lawlessness\u201d?<\/a><\/blockquote>
