Stay with me for a moment\u2026 because this is not just a Bible story. This has everything to do with you, with me, and with those struggles no one else sees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s a question that feels a bit uncomfortable if we really think about it:
If Jesus was the Son of God\u2026 why did He have to be tempted?
Wasn\u2019t it unnecessary?
Wasn\u2019t it obvious He would win?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But when you pause\u2026 you begin to see something deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bible says Jesus was led into the wilderness\u2014not by accident, but on purpose. It wasn\u2019t a mistake\u2026 it was part of the plan. And there, in that dry place, without food, without human strength\u2026 after 40 days\u2026 that\u2019s when the temptation came.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not before.
Not when He was strong.
But when He was weak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that already tells us a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus was not tempted to see if He would fall\u2026
He was tempted to show us how to overcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are\u2014yet without sin.\u201d (Hebrews 4:15)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus didn\u2019t avoid temptation\u2026 He faced it. Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because He didn\u2019t just come to save you\u2026 He came to understand you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s something very human about this. But in Jesus\u2026 God chose to come near. He knows what it\u2019s like to be hungry\u2026 And still\u2026 He chose obedience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When the devil told Him, \u201cTurn these stones into bread\u201d\u2026 It was using His power for Himself. Does that sound familiar?<\/p>\n\n\n\n When temptation comes to you\u2026 it usually comes like that: But Jesus responded differently. Not with emotion. Then came another temptation\u2026 testing God. In other words: \u201cProve who You are.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n But Jesus didn\u2019t need to prove anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And there\u2019s a powerful lesson there\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not everything you can do\u2026 you should do. And finally\u2026 came the most dangerous temptation: Kingdoms\u2026 power\u2026 authority\u2026 And Jesus said no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because He understood something we often forget: So\u2026 why did Jesus go through all this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not to prove that He was strong. Not with our own strength\u2026 He also made something very clear: Jesus was tempted\u2026 and never sinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That changes everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because sometimes you feel guilty just for being tempted\u2026 What you do in the middle of the struggle\u2026 does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And there\u2019s something else\u2026 something many people overlook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus fasted for 40 days\u2026 not to impress anyone\u2026 Fasting was not weakness\u2026 it was preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While His body was becoming weaker\u2026 And here\u2019s something important you need to understand\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n That wilderness was also preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not because Jesus needed to be \u201ccorrected\u201d\u2026 But that preparation was not just for Him\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was designed in such a way that it became a lesson for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus didn\u2019t prepare to see if He could overcome\u2026 And here\u2019s a key many ignore:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some battles are not won with strength\u2026 With a relationship with God. With a faith that doesn\u2019t depend on emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the end\u2026 Jesus came out of the wilderness different. Ready to begin His ministry. And that is also for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are wilderness seasons that are not punishment\u2026 There are moments when God is not abandoning you\u2026 Let me leave you with this thought\u2026 The difference is not in avoiding it\u2026 And now, I invite you to join me in this prayer\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lord, We are Christians, connecting hearts with Christ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Why was Jesus tempted if He is the Son of God? He didn\u2019t take shortcuts\u2026 He walked through the full process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You and I often feel like God is distant\u2026 like He doesn\u2019t understand what we\u2019re going through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He chose to live what we live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He knows what it\u2019s like to be tired\u2026
He knows what it\u2019s like to be tempted when you\u2019re vulnerable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it wasn\u2019t just hunger\u2026 it was pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was solving things quickly\u2026 without waiting on God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
fast\u2026 logical\u2026 convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He responded with the Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not with impulse.
With truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not everything that shows power\u2026 comes from God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
shortcuts to obtain what God had already promised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but without the cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
what comes easy\u2026 almost never comes from God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But to show us that it is possible to overcome<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but through dependence on God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
temptation is not sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but the struggle itself doesn\u2019t define you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but to fully align Himself with the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His spirit was becoming stronger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but because before facing what was coming\u2014rejection, persecution, and the cross\u2014
He fully grounded Himself in the will of the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He prepared to show us how to overcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
they are won with depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With time in the secret place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not defeated\u2026 but ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ready to fulfill His purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
they are preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is forming you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If Jesus, being who He was, went through temptation\u2026
why do we think we shouldn\u2019t?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but in how you face it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
there are moments when I feel weak, when temptation feels stronger than me.
But today I understand that You went through it\u2026 and You overcame.
Teach me to depend on You, to respond with Your Word, and not take shortcuts that pull me away from Your will.
Strengthen my spirit in the middle of my wilderness\u2026
and help me come out of it stronger, closer to You.
