Maybe today you feel tired\u2026 not physically, but deep inside. You\u2019ve tried to change, to do what\u2019s right, to leave behind what you know doesn\u2019t please God\u2026 but you fall again. And in that silence, without saying it out loud, you wonder: \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong with me? Why can\u2019t I change?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you stay until the end, I want you to take this with you: you are not alone\u2026 and God is not finished with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many times we think the problem is a lack of willpower. That if we were more disciplined, stronger, more \u201cspiritual,\u201d then we would finally change. But the reality goes deeper than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The apostle Paul lived this himself. He said it plainly in Romans 7:18\u201319<\/strong>: It\u2019s powerful to read that\u2026 because it comes from someone who loved God. And even then, he struggled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That means what you feel is not strange\u2026 it\u2019s human.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Inside of us there is a constant battle. On one side, there is a genuine desire to do what is right, to please God. But on the other side, there is a nature that resists, pulling in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Bible explains it clearly in Galatians 5:17<\/strong>: And this is where many of us get it wrong\u2026 we try to solve a spiritual battle with human effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We say, \u201cthis time I won\u2019t fail\u201d\u2026 and we try with all our strength. But time passes\u2026 and we end up in the same place again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do you know why? Paul himself, frustrated by this struggle, cried out: There\u2019s the key\u2026 it\u2019s not you trying harder. It\u2019s Christ working in you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus said it simply in John 15:5<\/strong>: And sometimes that bothers us\u2026 because we like to feel in control. But the truth is that real change begins when we stop trying to do it alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s not surrender to lose\u2026 it\u2019s surrender so God can take control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The process is not instant. No one changes overnight. It\u2019s a journey\u2026 sometimes slow, sometimes difficult\u2026 but real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus explained it like this in Luke 9:23<\/strong>: Daily\u2026 not once. Every day you choose to trust, even when you don\u2019t feel strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And in that process, there is something that slowly transforms your inner life: the Word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Psalm 119:11<\/strong> says: It\u2019s not magic\u2026 it\u2019s transformation. What you feed your mind will eventually shape your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And still, let\u2019s be honest\u2026 there are days when you do everything \u201cright\u201d and still feel like you\u2019re not moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That\u2019s where something we don\u2019t always understand comes in: grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God is not looking at you with disappointment every time you fail. 2 Corinthians 12:9<\/strong> says: That means your weakest point\u2026 can become the place where God shows His strength the most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And you are not in a meaningless process. Philippians 1:6<\/strong> makes it clear: It doesn\u2019t say you will finish it\u2026 it says He will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So the next time you feel like you can\u2019t change\u2026 remember this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s not about how strong you are\u2026 Before we close, hold this in your heart\u2026 I invite you to pray with me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lord\u2026 You know my struggles, my attempts, my failures. You know how many times I\u2019ve wanted to change and couldn\u2019t. Today I stop trusting in myself\u2026 and I begin to trust in You. Do in me what I cannot do. Change me from the inside out, transform my thoughts, my desires, my heart. Don\u2019t let go of me, even when I fail. And teach me to depend on Your Spirit every day. Because real change doesn\u2019t come from your strength\u2026 it comes from surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWho will deliver me from this body of death?\u201d<\/strong>
And then he answered:
\u201cThanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!\u201d<\/strong> (Romans 7:24\u201325)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cApart from Me you can do nothing.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow Me.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is forming you\u2026 even in your weakness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
God is not improvising with your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s about how much you depend on Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Change doesn\u2019t begin when you become stronger\u2026 it begins when you stop relying on your own strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\nLord, help me change\u2026 I\u2019ve tried, but I can\u2019t.<\/a><\/blockquote>
