There are questions that are not just curiosity\u2026 they come from a deeper place.
This is one of them. Because deep down, what many people feel is this: \u201cIf God knew everything\u2026 why did He allow everything to fall apart?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s a valid question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the beginning, the Bible shows us something clearly: God created everything good. Perfect. Without pain, without guilt, without death. And in the middle of that paradise, He placed a tree\u2026 just one\u2026 with a simple instruction:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil\u2026\u201d<\/strong> (Genesis 2:16\u201317)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first glance, it almost feels like a trap.
But if you look deeper\u2026 it isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God did not create robots.
He created human beings with the ability to love Him\u2026 or reject Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And here is the key that many overlook:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without choice, there is no true love.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Adam and Eve had no possibility of disobeying, their obedience would not be love\u2026 it would be programming. Automatic, without real value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tree was not the problem.
The tree was the opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opportunity to freely choose God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now comes the hardest question\u2026
Did God know they would fall?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes.
But knowing is not the same as causing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In His omniscience, God knew the outcome\u2026 yet He still chose to create humanity. Why? Because His plan did not end in Eden\u2026 it continued at the cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the very beginning, God already had redemption in mind.
He did not improvise after the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world\u201d<\/strong> (Revelation 13:8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That changes everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tree was not a mistake.
It was part of a greater story\u2026 where God did not just want obedient creatures, but children who would choose to love Him\u2026 even after failing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was it a test?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes\u2026 but not like an exam meant to make them fail.
It was a test of trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God had given them everything. Absolutely everything.
He asked for only one thing\u2026 as a way of relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because every real relationship has boundaries\u2026 and trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now let\u2019s be honest\u2026
We like to think Adam and Eve failed\u2026 but we would have done the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact\u2026 we still do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every time we know what is right and choose otherwise\u2026 we stand before that same tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story of Eden is not far away\u2026 it repeats itself in us every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But here is the most beautiful part\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God did not abandon humanity after the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From that very moment, He began to seek them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhere are you?\u201d<\/strong> (Genesis 3:9)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was not a question of location\u2026
it was an invitation to return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that same voice is still calling today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God allowed freedom\u2026 knowing the cost\u2026 because He also knew the value of a restored relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because in the end\u2026
this is not just about a tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is about a decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To choose God\u2026 not because there are no other options\u2026
but because, even when there are\u2026 you choose Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me leave you with this thought\u2026
Maybe today you are not in a perfect garden\u2026 but you are facing decisions every day. And in each one, there is an opportunity to move closer to God or farther away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t have to be perfect to return\u2026
you just have to decide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if today you feel like you have failed, like you walked away, like you didn\u2019t choose well\u2026 remember this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God is still seeking you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I invite you to join me in this prayer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord, today I understand that You gave me freedom\u2026 not to lose myself, but to truly find You. Forgive me for the times I have chosen away from You. Help me recognize You in my decisions and return to You with a sincere heart. Thank You because You did not abandon me, because from the beginning You had already planned to save me. Today I choose to draw near to You. In Jesus\u2019 name, amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
