Signs of a Relationship Aligned with God\u2019s Heart."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pause for a moment\u2026 because this is not just any decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This isn\u2019t only about who you\u2019re dating or who makes you feel good today. It\u2019s about who you can build a whole life with. And even though many take it lightly, deep down everyone asks the same question: <em>\u201cIs this the right person?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We live in a time where love is confused with emotion, chemistry, and good moments. But that\u2019s not always enough. Because some relationships start intensely\u2026 and end up leaving emptiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And there\u2019s something else that has confused many people: thinking everything is solved with a label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some say: \u201cIf they\u2019re Christian, go ahead.\u201d<br>Others say: \u201cIf you love each other, that\u2019s enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But reality goes deeper than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bible doesn\u2019t present love as something superficial. It presents it as a decision with direction. It\u2019s not just about what you feel\u2026 but where your life is going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look at the case of Rahab.<br>She was a woman living in Jericho, and her life was not aligned with God. She didn\u2019t grow up with the faith of Israel, she had no spiritual background. But when she heard what God had done, she believed. She helped the spies and risked her life because of that faith. She wasn\u2019t perfect\u2026 but her heart moved toward God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And something very important: after that step of faith, she became part of God\u2019s people and married an Israelite. She was no longer the same person, no longer walking in the same direction, because now her faith was placed in the true God. And from that union, over time, came the lineage of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now look at what happened with David and Bathsheba.<br>David was a king who knew God, but in a moment of weakness he made an impulsive decision: he got involved with Bathsheba, who was married. That relationship led to deception, wrong decisions, and painful consequences. Yes, there was repentance later and God restored\u2026 but the beginning was not right, and it left real wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two different stories, one same lesson:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God can transform any story\u2026<br>but not every beginning is wise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So the question is not only:<br>\u201cAre they a good person?\u201d<br>nor just:<br>\u201cDo they say they believe in God?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The real question is:<br><strong>Where is their life going\u2026 and where are they leading yours?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because there are people who don\u2019t know God yet\u2026 but they are open.<br>And there are others who say they believe\u2026 but live far from Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not the label that defines the future\u2026<br>it\u2019s the direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Here are some signs to keep in your heart\u2026 and make wise decisions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First sign:<br><strong>This person brings you closer to God\u2026 or pulls you away from Him.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do they encourage you to grow?<br>Do they respect your faith?<br>Is there openness when talking about God\u2026 or constant discomfort?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bible warns:<br><strong>\u201cDo not be unequally yoked\u2026\u201d (2 Corinthians 6:14)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not a cold rule\u2026 it\u2019s wise guidance to avoid painful paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Second sign:<br><strong>There is peace\u2026 not constant confusion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It doesn\u2019t mean everything will be perfect. But there is an inner calm, a sense of clarity that doesn\u2019t depend on the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cGod is not a God of confusion, but of peace\u2026\u201d (1 Corinthians 14:33)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a relationship is full of anxiety, constant doubts, emotional insecurity\u2026 don\u2019t ignore it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many times the problem is not the lack of signs\u2026<br>but choosing to ignore them out of fear of losing the person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Third sign:<br><strong>They respect boundaries\u2026 they don\u2019t push them.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And this needs to be said clearly\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If someone pressures you to have sex before marriage, they are not loving you correctly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not proof of love.<br>It\u2019s not \u201cpart of the relationship.\u201d<br>It\u2019s not something you have to do to keep someone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a red flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">True love doesn\u2019t push you to fall\u2026<br>it helps you stand firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cLove is patient\u2026 it does not seek its own\u2026\u201d (1 Corinthians 13:4-5)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fourth sign:<br><strong>Their actions speak louder than their words.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cYou will know them by their fruits\u2026\u201d (Matthew 7:16)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And this shows up in everyday life\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How they treat you when they\u2019re happy\u2026 and when they\u2019re upset.<br>How they speak to you\u2026 how they correct you\u2026 how they care for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How they treat you in the small things\u2026 reveals who they will be in the big things.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fifth sign:<br><strong>There is growth\u2026 not stagnation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A healthy relationship is not just about having fun. It\u2019s about moving forward. Building. Talking about purpose, values, and the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not perfect\u2026 but it has direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And now something few people say, but it\u2019s real:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Physical attraction does matter.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not the most important thing\u2026 but it\u2019s not irrelevant either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God didn\u2019t create love as only spiritual or emotional\u2026 He also created it physical.<br>The body is part of God\u2019s design, and within marriage it has a good, healthy, and blessed purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There should be attraction, connection, and genuine desire\u2014but understood correctly: not as disordered passion, but as something that, in the right time, within marriage, becomes unity, commitment, and giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Physical attraction, when aligned with God, does not seek to consume\u2026 it seeks to honor.<br>It doesn\u2019t rush\u2026 it knows how to wait.<br>It doesn\u2019t dominate\u2026 it submits to God\u2019s purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But be careful\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Physical attraction adds\u2026<br>but it should not dominate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It cannot be the foundation\u2026<br>but it should not be ignored either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s part of the design\u2026 not the center of the purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And here\u2019s something many overlook\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don\u2019t fall in love with who that person <em>could become<\/em>\u2026<br>learn to see who they are today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because many relationships don\u2019t fail due to lack of love\u2026<br>but because of unrealistic expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And here\u2019s a truth that may hurt, but it sets you free:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can love someone\u2026<br>and still not be the right person for each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because love alone is not enough when the direction is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So this is not about closing your heart out of fear\u2026<br>nor opening it without discernment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s about choosing wisely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not seeking spiritual perfection\u2026<br>but not ignoring spiritual direction either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not denying the physical\u2026<br>but not being controlled by it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God does not confuse\u2026 He guides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cSeek first the kingdom of God\u2026\u201d (Matthew 6:33)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don\u2019t rush.<br>Don\u2019t panic.<br>Don\u2019t idealize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God is not hiding the right person from you\u2026<br>He is shaping you to recognize them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take this reflection to see more clearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because in the end\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The right person doesn\u2019t just feel right\u2026<br>they also lead you in the right direction.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I invite you to join me in this prayer\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lord, guide every decision of the heart.<br>Give clarity where there is doubt, peace where there is confusion, and wisdom to choose well.<br>Protect my life from relationships that pull me away from You\u2026<br>and lead me toward a relationship that honors Your purpose in every area.<br>Teach me not to ignore the signs\u2026 and to value what is right above emotions.<br>In Jesus\u2019 name, amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/somoscristianos.org\/en\/\"   title=\"Home\"   >Somos Cristianos<\/a>, connecting hearts with Christ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pause for a moment\u2026 because this is not just any decision.
