Stay here for a moment\u2026 because this is rarely talked about, but it is deeply revealing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everything had already ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus had given up His spirit. Silence began to cover the scene. Some were leaving\u2026 others simply stood there, not fully understanding what they had just witnessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But then something happens that many read quickly\u2026 and move past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Roman soldier, to make sure Jesus was truly dead, took a spear and pierced His side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the Bible says something very specific:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.\u201d (John 19:34)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Blood\u2026 and water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is not just any detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s not something John wrote by accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In fact, he pauses to say this matters, that it is true, that he saw it himself (John 19:35). As if he wanted to make sure we wouldn\u2019t ignore it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because in that moment\u2026 there is something deeper than just a wound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The blood speaks of sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From the beginning, the Bible teaches that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Blood represents the price, the life given, the full payment for sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus did not die symbolically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He poured out His blood\u2026 completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But the water\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n The water speaks of cleansing, of new life, of restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus Himself said: So in that final moment\u2026 when His body was already lifeless\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n blood\u2026 and water came out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As if God were saying: \u201cThis is He who came by water and blood\u2014Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.\u201d (1 John 5:6)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Not just forgiveness\u2026 but transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not just dying for you\u2026 but giving you a new life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And there\u2019s something else that stands out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That open side\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n is like a doorway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From there came everything we needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not from a throne\u2026 not from heaven\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n but from a wound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sometimes we think God only works through greatness\u2026 but here we see He also works through pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through a wound opened by love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And if you think about it\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n that spear, which seemed like an act of violence\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n ended up revealing something eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It confirmed that Jesus truly died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But it also showed that His work was complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nothing was missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nothing was left undone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was a total sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So when you come to Christ\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n you are not coming to someone who did \u201cjust enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n You are coming to someone who gave EVERYTHING.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His blood\u2026 to forgive you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His water\u2026 to cleanse you and give you a new life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is no area of your life He cannot restore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is no guilt His blood cannot cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is no past His grace cannot wash clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Take this reflection and hold it quietly in your heart\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus did not die halfway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His love is not halfway either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I invite you, right where you are, to close your eyes for a moment and pray this simple prayer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lord Jesus, thank You because Your sacrifice was complete.
