{"id":14753,"date":"2026-04-01T13:07:39","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T18:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/somoscristianos.org\/?p=14753"},"modified":"2026-04-01T13:09:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T18:09:35","slug":"the-women-and-the-empty-tomb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/somoscristianos.org\/en\/the-women-and-the-empty-tomb\/","title":{"rendered":"The Women and the Empty Tomb."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have you ever walked toward something you knew was already over\u2026 but still couldn\u2019t stop yourself from going?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s how they were walking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It wasn\u2019t faith that moved them that morning\u2026 it was love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was still dark when they began their walk. The cold air, the heavy silence\u2026 and that knot in your throat that won\u2019t go away. They weren\u2019t talking about miracles\u2026 they were remembering a goodbye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They had seen everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pain. The cross. The last breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They weren\u2019t confused\u2026 they knew Jesus had died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And yet\u2026 they went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not to see a miracle.<br>Not to confirm a promise.<br>But to honor a body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes love makes you keep walking\u2026 even when hope is gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the way, a question followed them:<br>\u201cWho will roll away the stone for us?\u201d (Mark 16:3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It wasn\u2019t a theological question\u2026 it was a real concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stone was too big.<br>They couldn\u2019t move it.<br>And they knew it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That happens to us too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We keep walking\u2026 but carrying things we know we can\u2019t fix.<br>Situations that overwhelm us.<br>Doors we don\u2019t know how to open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But when they lifted their eyes\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stone was already rolled away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No one moved it in front of them.<br>They didn\u2019t see the moment.<br>They didn\u2019t hear the sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was simply\u2026 gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God had already done in silence\u2026 what they could not do in strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They went in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And there\u2026 the strongest blow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was no body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only a kind of emptiness that makes no sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because there are silences that hurt\u2026<br>but there are also silences that confuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This wasn\u2019t the silence of death\u2026 it was the silence of something that was changing history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then an angel broke that moment:<br>\u201cHe is not here; He has risen, just as He said.\u201d (Matthew 28:6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But if we\u2019re honest\u2026 that\u2019s not something you process in seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They didn\u2019t come out jumping right away.<br>The Bible says they left with fear and great joy (Matthew 28:8).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s that strange mixture\u2026 when God does something so big that your heart doesn\u2019t know whether to cry or rejoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And right there\u2026 while they were on the way\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus appeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No noise.<br>No announcement.<br>No spectacle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He simply\u2026 met them on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGreetings,\u201d He said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And they did something only someone who truly loves would do:<br>they came to Him, held His feet\u2026 and worshiped Him. (Matthew 28:9)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It wasn\u2019t a cold reaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was an encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because it\u2019s not the same to know the tomb is empty\u2026<br>as it is to have Jesus standing right in front of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And here\u2019s something very deep\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus didn\u2019t appear to them at the tomb.<br>He appeared to them <strong>on the way<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right there, between fear and obedience.<br>Between doubt and faith.<br>Between pain and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That says a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because sometimes we think we need to understand everything to see God\u2026<br>but many times, He reveals Himself when you simply keep walking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without understanding everything.<br>Without feeling everything.<br>But without stopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And even more powerful\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus chose to appear first to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To the ones who stayed.<br>To the ones who didn\u2019t run away.<br>To the ones who loved even when it hurt.<br>To the ones who kept walking without guarantees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They weren\u2019t the most recognized.<br>They weren\u2019t the most heard in their time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But they were the most present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God is not looking for the most prepared\u2026<br>He\u2019s looking for those who don\u2019t leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And maybe today, that\u2019s where you are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Walking\u2026 but tired inside.<br>Moving forward\u2026 but without clear answers.<br>Wondering who will move that stone you cannot move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And what you don\u2019t realize is this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By the time you arrive\u2026<br>the stone may already be gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And not only that\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maybe along the way\u2026<br>Jesus is already waiting for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let me leave you with this reflection to keep in your heart: there are moments when everything feels finished, when silence is heavy and emptiness hurts\u2026 but God works precisely there, where you cannot see. And many times, He\u2019s not only changing your situation\u2026 He wants to meet you in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I invite you to join me in this prayer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lord, sometimes I walk without understanding, with a tired heart and more questions than answers. But today I choose not to stop. Even when I don\u2019t see how the stone will be moved, I trust that You are already working. And in the middle of this process, let me find You\u2026 not just know about You, but truly experience Your presence in my life.
