There are phrases from Jesus that don\u2019t just teach\u2026 they make us uncomfortable.
And this is one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because if we\u2019re honest, we\u2019re all trying to \u201cwin at life.\u201d
We work, we strive, we plan\u2026 we want stability, we want peace, we want things to go well. That doesn\u2019t sound wrong\u2026 it sounds logical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But then Jesus comes and says something that seems to break that logic:
\u201cWhoever wants to save their life will lose it\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you stop and think\u2026 what does that even mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over time, I\u2019ve realized something\u2026
Jesus wasn\u2019t talking about the life everyone sees, but the life only you truly know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That life where you carry things no one else sees:
anxiety about the future,
guilt from the past,
decisions that weigh on you,
fears you never say out loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That life you\u2019re trying to hold together with your own strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because even if we don\u2019t say it like this, many of us are trying to save our life in our own way:
controlling everything,
avoiding pain,
protecting our image,
doing whatever it takes \u201cnot to lose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there\u2019s a problem\u2026
living like that is exhausting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s exhausting to pretend everything is fine.
It\u2019s exhausting trying to control what\u2019s not in your hands.
It\u2019s exhausting carrying everything without letting anything go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And little by little, without even noticing\u2026 we begin to lose ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We lose peace trying to gain security.
We lose authenticity trying to please others.
We lose purpose chasing comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that\u2019s exactly what Jesus was pointing out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He didn\u2019t come to tell you, \u201cstop trying.\u201d
He came to tell you, \u201cstop carrying it alone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When He talks about \u201closing your life,\u201d He\u2019s talking about surrender\u2026 but not as defeat, rather as rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s that moment when you say:
\u201cI can\u2019t keep living like this\u2026 I need something different.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that\u2019s more common than we think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are people who seem to have everything together on the outside\u2026
but inside, they\u2019re broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there are others who, when they surrendered their life to God, everything didn\u2019t suddenly become perfect\u2026
but something changed deeply: they were no longer alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because when you place your life in God\u2019s hands, you don\u2019t lose\u2026
you realign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You stop being the center of everything\u2026
and you begin to live from a purpose greater than yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You start making decisions not just by impulse, but with direction.
You begin to have peace even when you don\u2019t understand everything.
You start letting go of things that once controlled you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this is where Jesus\u2019 words finally make sense:
the one who tries to save their life (their own way)\u2026 ends up losing it.
But the one who surrenders it (to God)\u2026 finds it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not theory\u2026 it\u2019s real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe today you don\u2019t need to do more\u2026
maybe you need to let go of something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A burden.
A fear.
A control that doesn\u2019t belong to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me leave you with this thought to reflect on:
maybe you\u2019re not losing when you let go\u2026
maybe you\u2019re finally starting to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if you feel identified with this today, if you\u2019re tired on the inside even though you keep going on the outside\u2026
don\u2019t ignore it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I invite you to join me in this prayer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord,
I\u2019ve been trying to hold my life together with my own strength\u2026
and I\u2019m tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s hard for me to let go of control,
it\u2019s hard for me to trust,
it\u2019s hard for me to release what gives me \u201csecurity\u201d\u2026 even though I know it doesn\u2019t give me peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I choose to surrender to You,
not as defeat, but as rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take my life,
my decisions,
my burdens\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and teach me how to truly live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Jesus\u2019 name,
