Let me say something from the start\u2026 this might feel a little uncomfortable, but it\u2019s necessary: being a Christian is not the same as identifying with a political stance, an ideology, or any party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes, without realizing it, we mix our faith with human ideas. And that\u2019s where we begin to lose our way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because Christianity was not born in a political system\u2026 it was born on a cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus never came to establish a party or promote a political agenda. He came to save hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When people tried to label Him, He didn\u2019t play that game.
When He was asked whether it was right to pay taxes to Caesar, He gave an answer that broke every attempt to box Him in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRender to Caesar the things that are Caesar\u2019s, and to God the things that are God\u2019s.\u201d (Matthew 22:21)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus didn\u2019t align Himself with the Romans or with the religious groups of His time.
Because His Kingdom is not of this world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy kingdom is not of this world.\u201d (John 18:36)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And here is the key point\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christianity is not about ideology, it\u2019s about transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are people who hold strong positions and still do not know God.
And there are others from completely different backgrounds\u2026 who have hearts surrendered to Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The problem begins when we measure faith by human positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because then we stop looking at the heart\u2026 and start looking at labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And God does not see labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.\u201d (1 Samuel 16:7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being a Christian is not about thinking like a group.
It\u2019s about living like Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that makes everyone uncomfortable\u2026 because Jesus never fit into any human mold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He spoke of love, but also of truth.
Of grace, but also of repentance.
Of justice, but also of mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here is the danger\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we mix our faith too much with human positions, we end up defending ideas more than the gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And without realizing it, we begin to justify attitudes that do not reflect Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We may win arguments\u2026 but lose our testimony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We may defend ideas\u2026 but forget to love people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And Jesus was very clear about how a true disciple is recognized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.\u201d (John 13:35)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He didn\u2019t say: \u201cby your ideology.\u201d
He didn\u2019t say: \u201cby your position.\u201d
He said: by your love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that\u2026 changes everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being a Christian does not mean you stop having opinions. Of course not.
But it does mean your opinions are submitted to Christ\u2026 not the other way around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It means God\u2019s Kingdom comes first\u2026 and everything else after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness\u2026\u201d (Matthew 6:33)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, bringing this into something more practical\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bible clearly speaks about certain moral issues, but it does not endorse any human system completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About life:
\u201cBefore I formed you in the womb I knew you\u2026\u201d (Jeremiah 1:5)
About sexuality:
The Bible teaches God\u2019s design for marriage between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the Bible also says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u201d (Matthew 22:39)
\u201cLearn to do good; seek justice\u2026\u201d (Isaiah 1:17)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And here is something important\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No human system fully reflects the heart of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s why this matters so much:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No position is above God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christianity does not fit into any complete ideology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you take the Bible seriously, you will notice something\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You will never fully fit into any side.
Because the Word of God will challenge you constantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that\u2019s a good thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because your identity is not in a position\u2026
it is in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So what do we do as Christians?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We don\u2019t let our differences divide us.
We don\u2019t place our opinions above the gospel.
We don\u2019t stop loving people just because we think differently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And above all\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We keep Christ at the center of everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, there is something we often forget when we look at what\u2019s happening in the world\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God is still in control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe changes times and seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings\u2026\u201d (Daniel 2:21)
\u201cThe king\u2019s heart is in the hand of the Lord\u2026\u201d (Proverbs 21:1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes we try to understand everything through our own logic, as if everything depended on us\u2026 but the Bible reminds us that God is above every system and every human decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that should give us peace\u2026 but also perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because if God is in control, then we are not called to divide over ideas\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are called to unite through the gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And this is where we need to stop and be honest\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we, as Christians, begin to identify too strongly with human positions, we run a serious risk: we stop reflecting Christ the way we should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And people who don\u2019t know Him \u2014 the ones who need Him the most \u2014 often don\u2019t see Jesus in us\u2026 they see our positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that can push them away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without realizing it, instead of bringing them closer to God\u2026 we can create a barrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s why we need wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are not called to promote human ideas above everything\u2026 because that divides, hurts others, and distracts us from what truly matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our calling is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To reflect Christ.
To love.
To give a good testimony.
To lead people to the feet of Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes we forget something very important\u2026 no human system is above God. Throughout history, there have been all kinds of leaders with different ideas; some have caused great harm, and others have made questionable decisions\u2026 yet God remains in control. The Bible shows us that He allows some to rise and others to fall, and nothing escapes His hands. That\u2019s why, as Christians, it is not worth dividing over these things. Our unity is not in human ideas\u2026 it is in Christ. And when we lose sight of that, we begin to argue over what is temporary and neglect what is eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let me leave you with this reflection\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus didn\u2019t come to make you part of a group\u2026
He came to make you new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To change your heart.
To teach you to love, even when you disagree.
To live with truth, without losing grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that\u2026 goes far beyond any ideology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I invite you to join me in this prayer\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord, help me not to confuse You with my human ideas.
Help me not to reduce Your truth to my opinions.
Teach me to live as You lived\u2026 with love, truth, and a pure heart.
May my identity be in You\u2026 not in this world.
And wherever I am, may I reflect Your light\u2026 beyond any label. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
