Sometimes a phrase from Jesus sounds strong\u2026 even uncomfortable. But when you truly understand it, it changes the way you see people\u2026 and also how you take care of what God has given you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus said in Matthew 7:6 something that, if you read it quickly, might sound harsh:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And you might start wondering\u2026
Is Jesus calling people \u201cswine\u201d?
Is He saying we shouldn\u2019t share the message?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus is not talking about despising anyone. He Himself sat with sinners, spoke with the rejected, loved those nobody else wanted. So He would never contradict His own heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What Jesus is doing here is teaching something deeper\u2026 something that\u2019s not always easy to accept:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not everyone is ready to receive what you value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPearls\u201d in those times were extremely valuable. They represent what is sacred: God\u2019s truth, your faith, what He has done in your life, what you\u2019ve learned through pain, through tears, through your journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the \u201cswine\u201d\u2026 it\u2019s not an insult. It\u2019s an illustration.
A pig cannot recognize the value of a pearl. To it, it\u2019s just another stone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So imagine this\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You give something precious\u2026 something that means a lot to you\u2026
and the other person rejects it, mocks it, or even tramples on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That hurts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And Jesus, with love, is telling you:
\u201cNot everything valuable should be given at any time, or to any heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because there are hearts that are not ready yet\u2026
not because they are bad\u2026 but because they haven\u2019t been prepared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And here comes the human side of it\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How many times have you tried to talk to someone about God\u2026 and they laughed?
How many times did you want to share something deep\u2026 and were ignored?
How many times did you give your time, your advice, your heart\u2026 and it wasn\u2019t valued?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That gets tiring\u2026 it wears you down\u2026 it hurts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And Jesus knows that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s why He doesn\u2019t tell you \u201cstop loving\u201d
or \u201cstop speaking\u201d
or \u201cwalk away from everyone\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What He tells you is: be wise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are moments to speak\u2026 and moments to stay silent.
There are people who are ready\u2026 and others who are not yet.
There are seeds that will fall on good soil\u2026 and others that won\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that is not your responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your responsibility is not to force hearts\u2026
it is to discern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because when you try to force something spiritual on someone who doesn\u2019t want it\u2026 not only do they reject the message\u2026 sometimes they end up hurting you too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And here\u2019s something that really makes me think\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s not about closing your heart\u2026
it\u2019s about protecting what God placed inside you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your faith is a pearl.
Your testimony is a pearl.
What God has healed in your life\u2026 is a pearl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t give it where it will be trampled\u2026
give it where it can grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that\u2019s not a lack of love\u2026
that\u2019s wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because in the end\u2026 not everyone rejects God forever.
Some people just need time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And maybe today they\u2019re not ready\u2026
but tomorrow they will be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So you don\u2019t stop loving\u2026
you just learn to wait for the right moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let me leave this in your heart\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not every rejection means you did something wrong.
Sometimes you\u2019re simply planting\u2026 in soil that hasn\u2019t been prepared yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trust that God knows who to send, when to speak\u2026 and when to remain silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let me leave you with this reflection\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes we want to save everyone, convince everyone, help everyone\u2026
but Jesus never asked us to do that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He asked us to be faithful\u2026 and wise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that includes knowing when to give\u2026
and when to hold back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I invite you to join me in this prayer\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord, give me discernment to understand times and hearts.
Help me not to force what You are not moving.
Teach me to care for what You have placed in my life, without hardening my heart.
Give me love for everyone\u2026 but wisdom to act at the right moment.
And when someone is not ready, give me peace to wait\u2026 without frustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
